On this food tour with Guide David, you'll have the opportunity to explore some of the best mom-and-pop shops and restaurants of Brooklyn’s Smith and Court Streets and surrounding neighborhoods that are home to a vibrant mix of small, locally owned, artisanal food shops.
You will visit old school haunts and new culinary entrepreneurial spots, including artisan cheese and bread shops, Italian pastry stores, cafés with coffee roasters, the oldest Middle Eastern bakery in NYC, and a modern soda fountain to experience an exciting menu of both traditional flavors and daring dishes.

Guide David's tour of South Brooklyn was an amazing way to spend an afternoon learning and tasting the rich cultural history of the area. I felt like we were getting real insider knowledge about the best and most authentic restaurants, cafes, and markets. At every stop he shared wonderful anecdotes about the shops founders, how certain recipes came to be, and how food has changed and been changed by development. Each dish we tried was a perfect sampling of the diversity of flavors in the neighborhood and so delicious. I will be stopping back at each of the restaurants for more soon!
