In this hands-on class, you will learn the fundamentals of French Caribbean cooking with the instruction of the incredibly talented Chef Jane. Caribbean cooking is all about adding layers upon layers of flavor, which will be the focus of the class.
You'll learn recipes and techniques for making the popular fried plantain paired with an herb chimichurri sauce and a flavorful rice dish peppered with sofrito, pigeon peas and coconut. For the finale, you'll whip up a braised chicken or seafood dish of your choice with yellow curry that will make you feel like you are on a Caribbean island.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
