What You'll Do

Cook, connect and learn about French-inspired cuisine in this romantic class in Madison.

Bring a little Parisian bistro charm to your evening in this engaging cooking class in Madison. Guided by Chef Peter or a resident chef, you’ll cook chicken paillard, build a bright lemon caper sauce and prepare crispy pommes Lyonnaise. You’ll also make a French bistro salad and finish with crème brûlée. Along the way, you’ll gain hands-on practice with searing, vinaigrettes and desserts. This cooking class in Madison is ideal for couples who want a relaxed but skill-building night out.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

Cooked steak, fries, and lava cakes! Instruction was great, more from the professional chef as some of the printed instructions were unclear, and the food was tasty. Class didn't start on time, which is a shame because we picked the later session and ultimately didn't have dinner until after 9pm. I would have liked some more instruction on how to make the same or similar recipes without all the fancy equipment, and advice on how to be more efficient in the kitchen. Also, there should be a dedicated dining area, as it's uncomfortable to eat standing up.

The chief and staff were all wonderful. The ingredients for meal prep were all well laid out in advance. The Thai menu was unique and delicious. We’ll definitely be preparing these recipes again. This was opportunity to prepare foods we wouldn’t normally cook at home. My only dislike was the tight work space we had to work in. Not a huge deal breaker.

Eric did not provide any overview or background on what we were cooking and we all did portions of the dish with pretty minimal instruction. We had to ask numerous times for direction. We did manage to muddle through, and Eric was dealing with a lot of students.

Overall, the class was really fun! In a way I wish it was a tiny bit more challenging. It felt like we did a few knife cuts, then took a break and then cooked a bit before eating. All in all, I wish it had been a bit more difficult or ""fast"" pace wise. The food we made was really good, except for the pad thai which was disappointing. Also would be super nice to make a dessert!

The class was easy to follow, and I feel the recipes will be easy to replicate at home. This class should be 3 hrs long, not 2. The dough didn't have enough time to rise and didn't have enough time to bake. My focaccia bread wound up burning because the instructor was moving on with the class and the bread didn't get out of the oven fast enough.

Our family of 3 (including a teen son) really enjoyed this class. The recipes were easy to figure out and make, and it's nice to have the book to refer to the 3 things we made, as well as all of the other content. Chef Kelley was very helpful, friendly, and encouraging with our son!

Really fun and busy class making pad Thai, deep fried lemongrass corn fritters, shrimp curry, and enjoying coconut rice afterwards, in a group of 12. It was nice to review knife skills as well. Great date or special occasion activity

Overall very informative. Adult only class would be a nice option.. Chef had amazing experience, very informative and knowledgeable. Should have a 5 min late policy. Late guests distracting. Would have liked a little quicker pace. Overall Very great seat up. Definitely an experience.

Cozy meal gave us the wrong class start time. The chef was very understanding about this problem but cozy meal doesn’t share participant details to give us updates. Too bad we didn’t get the experience we hoped for. Just book directly with the chef next time. We expect a refund.
