What You'll Do

Create classic Persian dishes in this hands-on culinary experience in Darien.

Unlock the secrets of Persian home cooking in this engaging cooking class in Darien. With Chef Royale or a resident chef showing you the way, you'll grill up saffron chicken kabobs, toss together a minty cucumber and tomato salad and master the art of crispy, golden tahdig (the best part of the rice, hands down). To finish, you'll pipe cream puffs filled with fragrant pistachio cream. Along the way, you'll get real hands-on practice with marinades, rice technique and pastry filling. This cooking class in Darien is ideal for home cooks who love aromatic, carefully layered dishes.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

We had so much fun with Chef Royale! Dim sum date night was a gift for my partner who loves Asian cuisine but we’re sometimes a little intimidated by the technique. Chef made it extremely easy and approachable. We are very excited to make dim sum at home! Highly recommend this class!

Really fun and busy class making pad Thai, deep fried lemongrass corn fritters, shrimp curry, and enjoying coconut rice afterwards, in a group of 12. It was nice to review knife skills as well. Great date or special occasion activity

What a great class. From the beginning with regard to explaining the different variations that we were going to make. Guiding us in the preparing of the ingredients and working with us in the cooking of the ingredients and how it all comes together . The end result the best getting to eat what we made. Delicious. This was a fun and wonderful class. The recipes were delicious . Chef Chris was a true professional chef. She gave little inside tips, was very good at explaining the recipes. I would take another class with Chef Chris!
