What You’ll Do

Learn sushi rice, slicing and rolling as you make a California roll and veggie roll.

Build real sushi skills in this beginner-friendly cooking class with Chef Krong. You’ll start with the foundation of every great roll: perfectly seasoned sushi rice with the right sticky texture. Then, learn simple slicing techniques for prepping fresh ingredients like fish and vegetables for sushi-making.

Once you’re ready to roll, you’ll assemble a classic California roll with crab sticks, avocado and cucumber, then switch it up with a creamy vegetable roll featuring avocado, cucumber and cream cheese. Wrap, roll, slice and enjoy your homemade sushi, then leave with techniques you can use again anytime.

Chef Krong was warm and friendly. Her helpful tips made it seem like making our own sushi at home was easier than we thought! More importantly, she was able to engage both kids and adults in our sushi experience. We strongly recommend her to anyone, and especially groups with kids.

We were happy to learn some tips to creating authentic tasting pad thai and green curry. Each dish we made was delicious. My only disappointment was I felt this experience was very rushed and quick because Chef Krong had another booking right after ours. I sensed she was distracted because of this. There was no time to take notes because she was moving us along at a very fast pace. Parts of this experience seemed like a blur to me.
