What You’ll Do

Cook, taste and connect over a delicious Italian-themed date night.

Bring a taste of Italy to your evening in this hands-on cooking class in Houston. Together with your partner, you’ll prepare burrata and peperonata crostini, chicken saltimbocca with Marsala sauce and creamy Parmigiano polenta. You’ll also toss a fresh arugula and fennel salad and finish with mini tiramisu. Chef Jaken or a resident chef will guide you through each step, sharing easy techniques for authentic Italian cooking. This cooking class in Houston makes for a perfect date night filled with great food and new skills.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

After attending culinary school, he began his professional career, learning a variety of culinary trades from gourmet chefs. The chef was very nice and attentive and answered all of our questions. Understand that there is not a ton of time but I would have liked to have seen some of the prep work (at least an overview). For example, we made gnocchi but did not learn how to prepare the potatoes (we were just given them ready to go) and returned from break with them cooked and in the sauce. Would have liked at least a quick overview of the steps: cooking gnocchi, ricing the potatoes... and any little tips for those steps. Other than, it was a great experience and looking forward to my next class!

Chef Stuart was great! We truly enjoyed our fist cooking class date night. Chef shared a few cooking tips, which we appreciated. And he has a great sense of humor ? we took a group picture which I would love to share and will send via email. Thanks for a great night.

It was a great experience, the taste of the food we prepared was amazing, I was really blown away. I just wish that the set up would be in a way that each participant would do all the steps rather than sharing a set up with other participant.

This was the first time for me to take a cooking class. I look forward to doing it again! The chef was very enthusiastic and explained the process well as we worked. I came away feeling I can do this again at home and look forward to homemade pasta dishes.

I loved the class. The ladies I was paired up with were a little chatty so was hard to listen to chef! Before class I was very intimidated but after class I was I got this! Excited to try making fresh pasta my self! Great class over all would definitely take again!

Give it a 3… but only because she wasn’t super nice and helpful…and because they should let people know it’s gonna be 4 people sharing the food. My table was only 2 of us. And we felt rushed at times because we didn’t have extra people to assist with us. When trying to ask questions, felt ignored at times. The class was fun. But I was expecting to really learn more. This felt more like Painting with a Twist.. but for Baking. I’m looking to make Baking a new hobby. So this just wasn’t what I was expecting. But for those just looking to have fun or a day date or something. This would be for them.

Chef was great, I just feel that the context of the class was very poor. Nothing to excited. The dessert was definitely not the best. Coming from NYC and being in the catering business my expectations were high.

There was no class at the venue I booked. Chef was a no show!!! We got a confirmation an hour before class with the location booked. We showed up and the venue said Cozy had not reserved the class for 1pm today. Very disappointing...especially for a valentines day present.
