What You’ll Do

Make rustic Southern Italian cavatelli pasta by hand in this hands-on cooking class.

Handcraft two flavorful cavatelli dishes in this pasta-making class with Chef Keith. You’ll dive into the heart of Southern Italian cooking as you learn to make pasta the traditional way, with simple ingredients and plenty of hands-on technique.

Start by mixing semolina flour and water into a smooth dough, then roll and shape it into rustic cavatelli. For your first dish, prepare a bold sausage and tomato sauce simmered with garlic, basil, crushed tomatoes and Calabrian chili for a spicy kick. Then shift to a lighter but equally flavorful version featuring sautéed broccoli rabe with garlic, chili, olive oil and Pecorino Romano. Along the way, Chef Keith will share tips for shaping cavatelli, building flavor with fresh ingredients and pairing sauces with pasta.
