I chose the Dreamy Steakhouse Feast – Date Night, and overall I really enjoyed the experience—especially if you’re looking to try something a little out of the ordinary. The food was genuinely delicious, and the flavor combinations were creative and interesting. That said, there were a few things I wasn’t happy about, mainly because the class description didn’t match what the experience actually was. Nowhere does it mention you’ll be working in groups. This matters because even if you book (and pay) for four people, you’re essentially sharing the same materials and ultimately cooking the same dish together. There were also multiple moments where we combined everyone’s food to cook it all at once, which I didn’t love because it meant I couldn’t really taste the result of my own individual effort or “culinary skills.” Similarly, with the panna cotta, we didn’t participate in making it—we were simply served the dessert. If that’s the intended structure, I think the description should clearly state that. Finally, the chef wasn’t the same person shown in the listing photo, which added to the feeling that the listing was a bit misleading. In short: I had a good time and enjoyed the meal, but I do think the description is misleading and doesn’t accurately reflect the actual class format.

Class was good. A bit disorganized and chaotic.
