What You’ll Do

Craft traditional Ethiopian dishes, including spicy doro wat, injera bread and custom Berbere spice blend.

Discover the rich, soulful flavors of East Africa in this hands-on cooking class that celebrates Ethiopia’s deep culinary heritage. Guided by an expert Chef Nicholas, you’ll use traditional cooking methods to prepare a three-course meal with a custom berbere spice mix that brings authenticity to many dishes.

Learn to make doro wat, a bold and spicy chicken stew simmered with onions, garlic and toasted spices. Next, classic injera, the soft, tangy flatbread cooked on a griddle that’s essential to every Ethiopian meal. Finally, end the meal with plantains flambéed in rum and topped with ice cream.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
