What You’ll Do

Immerse yourself in the flavors and dishes of Provence while perfecting key French techniques.

Guided by an expert chef, you’ll explore foundational French techniques and prepare an elegant Provençal-style meal in this hands-on cooking class. Pan-roast chicken and finish with a lemony sauce with olives and capers. Then, create a savory ratatouille tart with flaky pastry and thinly sliced seasonal vegetables. Emulsify a classic vinaigrette for salade verte and learn the swirl-and-flip method for paper-thin crêpes filled with figs, raspberries and honeyed whipped cream.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

Meet your chef


Chef Michael emigrated to the U.S. from Romania with his family at the age of seven. He followed his family's culinary interests and found joy in the kitchen, with his grandmother and his parents leading the way. After working in various restaurants through high school and beyond, he developed a taste for finer cuisine. His resume grew to include event catering as well as teaching cooking classes, for which Chef Michael holds an abiding passion.
