Join Chef Kari as she teaches you how to make homemade tostadas and an array of toppings and sauces. Chef Kari has years of professional culinary experience and will share her tips and tricks to help you become a master chef.
Chef Kari will show you how to make your own fresh corn tostadas, either baked or fried depending upon your taste. Then, you will learn to make toppings including savory chile cauliflower confit with olive oil and garlic and a cumin black bean mash, perfect for topping or dipping. You’ll also learn how to make an elote spread with cheese, roasted chiles, and sweet corn as well as a sweet potato and sofrito hash. Your sauces of the evening will consist of a fresh tomatillo guacamole, blackened tomato salsa cruda, sweet chipotle sauce, and of course, a homemade crema.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
