Take a culinary journey to Southeast Asia with Chef Billie!
Thailand is known for its distinct cuisine, which educates the senses on the importance of texture, color, taste, and the inclusion of ingredients with medicinal benefits. Chef Billie is passionate about everything having to do with cuisine and enjoys sharing her skills and experience in a welcoming class setting free of intimidation. With her expert guidance, you will learn the skills to successfully balance the four essential flavor profiles of Thailand: salty, sour, sweet, and spicy.
Your class begins by learning to prepare a main course composed of a variety of savory dishes including succulent chicken satay, mouthwatering marinated chicken skewers, and delightful shrimp pad Thai. From there, you will create a selection of salads including zesty pickled cucumbers, carrots, and shallots, and spicy green papaya.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I have always loved the flavours of Thailand, the sweet with the salty, fresh and bitter all together. Having tried in vain to recreate these at home I was pleased to learn how. My favourite part was the smashing of the green beans for the 'smashed bean salad'. Chef Billie keeps up a running commentary throughout and definitely gets into the spirit of the class.

Great sushi making class in Los Angeles offered by a fantastic and very knowledgable chef. One of the things I like about Chef Billie is that she is also very experienced in many other cuisines. In addition to this, she has been a cooking school instructor for many years and really knows very well how to teach.
