Cooking Class - Celebrating Persian Cuisine

Take a deep dive into classic dishes from Persian cooking.

Discover the spices, herbs and aromats that make Persian cuisine so popular at this fascinating cooking class. Start by prepping Shirazi — a fresh cucumber and tomato salad with zingy mint, before making chicken and saffron kabobs with crispy rice (Tahdig). Then, you’ll finish your complete menu with airy cream puffs filled with a smooth pistachio cream.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

I cannot recommend Chef Wendy's classes highly enough! This was my second class with her at Sur La Table, and both experiences were nothing short of amazing. Chef Wendy has a unique ability to make cooking both approachable and fun, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere that makes everyone feel at ease. In this class, we dove into the cozy flavors of French comfort food, and every moment was an absolute delight. From learning to slow-roast beef for the most flavorful beef bourguignon to crafting a perfectly balanced side salad, every step was explained with patience and expertise. The grand finale—chocolate crêpes with chantilly cream—was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable evening. Chef Wendy's passion for cooking shines through in every aspect of her teaching, and her friendly demeanor makes the experience all the more enjoyable. I walked away with not only new culinary skills but also a deeper appreciation for French cuisine.
