Besides calming the nervous system, Turmeric also detoxifies the digestion. In this class you will learn how to incorporate this powerful herb into delicious recipes.
Ghee is sometimes called “butter on steroids” because of its rich and bold flavor. It has healing and medicinal properties making it an excellent addition to every day cooking. Organic ghee can be expensive to purchase, but is simple to make at home with the right ingredients.
Chef Neelam will teach you to use turmeric to create a delicious golden porridge, called “Khichari” which is simple, healing, and can be eaten as a meal. She will also teach you how to use turmeric and other ancient spices, like ginger, to season locally sourced seasonal vegetables to make a delicious and detoxifying dish. Finally you will end the class with a special herbal tea concoction prepared especially for you.
