Cooking Class - Spanish Paella

Share classic Spanish recipes with family and friends.

Bring the flavors of Spain home with this cooking class. Designed for all levels of home chef, it explores the art of Spanish flavor. Master techniques for making paella and sofrito, including bomba rice toasting. Work with fragrant herbs and spices such as saffron, cilantro, parsley and paprika. You'll be able to recreate these authentic recipes at home any day of the week.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

I liked the demonstration and directions were given. I would have liked to have been able to review the recipes as we were cooking. We needed more kitchen utensils, so everyone at our table could complete their tasks. Example, there was only one rolling pin for six people. The class was rushed because there was another class after our group and we had to eat really fast. I burned my tongue. These are minor things that can be changed. Overall, I had a wonderful time. Never would have thought that I could make Dim Sum. My group was fun and encouraging. Chef was a little feisty, knowledgeable, and fun.

We had the resident chef. I wish it was more hands on and a smaller group. She was a great teacher and we had a nice evening. The mirror above the chef's counter was a an awesome idea that should be used more. The camera above the stove was a smart addition. I wish we all could make our own meal then have somewhere to sit and enjoy the meal rather than standing and being rushed to eat. You could tell the staff was rushed towards the end and trying to get out of there for the night. The food was delicious. I would try a different cooking class before going back to this one. Overall I was not impressed. It would also be nice to know that open toed shoes are not allowed ahead of time. We were not allowed to use knives because we were wearing sandles.
