Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Summer Baking - San Antonio

What You’ll Do

It's time for young chefs to enter the bakeshop in this fun, interactive summer series.

Chefs age 7-11 learn to bake confidently in this interactive cooking series. Throughout five days of summer cooking classes, young chefs prep, mix, and bake a variety of sweet and savory baked goods, including French crêpes and a scrumptious cake. They'll practice essential culinary techniques, learn to mix, measure, and chop like the pros, and leave with an understanding of kitchen safety. Icing techniques and cake decorating are also covered. Each participant leaves with a graduation certificate and recipes for all the treats they made.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

Chief TJ was so kind and nice and helpful! We truly appreciated her delivery of a four course meal in a short two hours! However....the cooking experience was not as described. Four couples prepared one meal. Little did I know that was the format of the cooking class. That was not in the description. Another HUGE disappointment was the meat. I chose this particular class because of the description -- it stated ribeye as the main course. The chief surprises the class with flank steak! The online description was very different from the actual class and therefore I was very disappointed in the entire experience. I actually thought that I was going to cook during my cooking class. I will not participate again nor recommend anyone to participate in Cozymeal.
