What You’ll Do

Get the kids into cooking with this class dedicated to beginner baking.

Calling all kids ages 7-11 for this cookies series on the basics of baking. Summer cooking classes are the perfect way to engage kids while also teaching them valuable skills about how to prepare food safely. Hands-on activities include instruction on how to knead dough for recipes like bread or pizza, techniques for flipping crepes plus everyone's favorite — cake decorating! Participants will leave with a full list of the recipes they created so that they'll be able to teach you a thing or two about baking at home.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

Really fun and busy class making pad Thai, deep fried lemongrass corn fritters, shrimp curry, and enjoying coconut rice afterwards, in a group of 12. It was nice to review knife skills as well. Great date or special occasion activity

It was so much fun! Learned several techniques from Chef Miguel and the food was amazing. I believe the small class size helped. I would recommend this class.

Our family of 3 (including a teen son) really enjoyed this class. The recipes were easy to figure out and make, and it's nice to have the book to refer to the 3 things we made, as well as all of the other content. Chef Kelley was very helpful, friendly, and encouraging with our son!

What a great class. From the beginning with regard to explaining the different variations that we were going to make. Guiding us in the preparing of the ingredients and working with us in the cooking of the ingredients and how it all comes together . The end result the best getting to eat what we made. Delicious. Ready to register for my next class. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
