Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Bakery Sweets

What You’ll Do

Craft delicious sweets better than a local bakery.

In this hands-on cooking series, kids ages 7 through 11 will learn how to make delicious baked goods from scratch. Over these five summer cooking classes, a chef instructor will teach little chefs techniques and recipes to make sweet treats. They will learn how to make fresh dough and then how to proof and knead the dough before turning it into fresh bread. They'll make the perfect crêpes filled with fresh fruit and bake and decorate a cake. Plus, they'll have a menu with recipes to make these treats at home.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

I Enjoyed this class so much! It was my first time, and the Teacher/ Chef and her Sous Chef made me feel so welcomed. I learned so much and had no trouble with anything due to the Chefs excellent explanation and teaching skills. I highly recommend this or any upcoming classes. Will definitely be back!
