Cooking Class - Gourmet Modern Japanese Fare

Try your hand at crafting a Japanese street food favorite, courtesy of Chef Aaron.

Learn how to create a handful of Japanese cuisine favorites, including okonomiyaki, a savory pancake commonly topped with cabbage or grilled meats. Chef Aaron will also teach you smart techniques to make three more classic dishes.

Begin by preparing a light batter to coat and fry shrimp tempura style. Next, the star of the show: Okonomiyaki, also called "Japanese pizza." Top yours with sautéed cabbage and marinated pork belly, and enjoy with a cucumber side salad with ponzu and seaweed that cuts through the heaviness of the dish. Finish by whipping up coconut matcha meringues.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
