Enjoy a Mediterranean meal in the Presidio with Chef Afreen!
In this cooking class, Chef Afreen will teach you how to prepare a magnificent Mediterranean meal! Calling on the flavors of the Middle East and working with seasonal California produce, Chef Afreen blends modern practices with classic aromas and flavors.
Chef Afreen will cook a grilled sweet pepper dish with kale, goat cheese, and a lovely pomegranate glaze. She'll also serve farro puls (ground farro grains) with toasted almonds and sultanas for a creative twist on couscous as well as a tasty grilled chicken dish with Ras el hanout and preserved lemons. Chef Afreen will conclude the meal with a delicious seasonal fruit dessert.
Guests will have the opportunity to take part in preparing some of the dishes while learning extensively from the chef. Guests are also welcome to bring their own wine to accompany the dinner.

Chef Afreen is amazing. My Fiancé & I felt very welcome in her home and we learned so much. We are already applying her lessons to our cooking. I highly recommend her class.

Chef Afreen hosted my girlfriend and I, along with another couple, and we had a wonderful time. She set a great atmosphere for our class and shared a great deal of expertise and wisdom with our group. She is very knowledgeable about spices and the style of preparing chicken which we learned from her was great! So happy that we had the chance to take her class!

Had an amazing time with Chef Afreen. It was obvious she put a lot of time and effort into preparing for the meal, and proceeded to let us (newbies at cooking), take control of the wheel and come up with our own flavoring and styles. I have never cooked with spices before, so this was a real treat and total delight. We loved every minute of it and will take our lessons and apply them to reality! :)
