In this cooking class, learn how to prep ingredients, make cheese and whip up dressings like a professional. Chef Alex will guide you in creating this impressive Italian menu from start to finish.
First, create bruschetta with roasted tomatoes and fluffy, fresh ricotta atop perfectly toasted bread. Then, make your own pasta to be served with handcrafted Bolognese sauce, meaty and full of flavor, and prepare a peppery arugula salad and emulsify your own dressing. For dessert, assemble an Italian pudding with butterscotch and rich handmade caramel.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
Roasted Cherry Tomato and Homemade Ricotta Bruschetta
With pancetta, crusty bread and fried basil or sage leaves
Handmade Pappardelle Pasta and Ragu Bolognese
With ground pork and beef, tomatoes, white wine and mirepoix
Arugula Parmesan Salad
With homemade shallot vinaigrette and cracked black pepper
Butterscotch Budino
With white rum and fresh whipped cream or homemade salted caramel

He also volunteers with Denver Housing Authority by helping create their cooking program. With experience in various concept kitchens, his skill set is vast and varied. Add to this expertise a passion for helping others cook, and Chef Alex has the perfect recipe for delicious kitchen success!
