Begin with savory pork tan tan noodles tossed with bean sprouts, fresh seasonal vegetables and spicy chili oil. Next, prepare perfectly crispy caramelized potatoes. Afterward, toss bamboo shoots and black mushrooms in a bean sauce and sauté spinach with garlic and seasonal vegetables to round up the menu. Book today!

Chef Wen went above and beyond for our meal. We requested some other menu items on a phone call (he prefers phone to email), and he let us think about what we wanted to make/learn. In the end we switched out 2 of the dishes to dry-fried string beans and hot and sour egg drop soup (which was simply incredible). He is skilled at many kinds of Chinese cuisine, including Beijing, Shandong, and Sichuan. He showed us how to make every dish and explained what seasoning to add and how to chop. He made two versions of the dan dan noodles because he knew I didn’t like spicy food as much. He brought cucumbers he had pickled the day before, plus homegrown peppers! He really wanted to provide the best experience. We loved having a cozy, casual dinner at home, sometimes observing, sometimes chatting, sometimes helping to cook—and plenty of eating along the way! He was very flexible and left a few small containers of sauces too, so that we could have some yummy leftovers.

Chef Wen is amazing!! He was very knowledgable about Chinese cooking and was super engaging throughout the entire class. We learned so much about each dish and are excited to try making them on our own. This was a wonderful experience and highly recommend booking a class with him! Thank you for a great time :)

Chef Wen was highly knowledgeable about the cuisine and was a delight to watch. His class was very hands on and we were involved in every step of the way. I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking to further their knowledge of Chinese cuisine, or who simply enjoys eating Chinese cuisine.
