Culinary Adventure - An Experience to Honor Black History

Join Chef Chericia for an authentic Southern cooking class in a Black history firehouse landmark.

Located in one of D.C.'s hippest neighborhoods, this renovated firehouse is a Black history landmark and served as home to the first fully African American fire company in D.C. Built in 1884, this historic venue has been completely renovated by a famous interior designer and television celebrity and has been featured on Netflix.

This cooking class led by Chef Chericia, a D.C. native, highlights her expertise and passion for Southern cuisine. You will learn her favorite dishes to honor Black history, from honey-glazed cornbread to Southern fried chicken drizzled with spicy vinaigrette. You will also cook staples such as gooey baked macaroni and cheese, braised collard greens and homemade peach cobbler.

Learn tips and tricks from an expert chef while you create an authentic Southern meal in the firehouse's stunning open kitchen or enjoy a drink by the cozy fireplace. This unique experience will be one to remember.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
