This cooking workshop covers the essentials of preparing authentic sushi from scratch.

If you've always dreamed of making your own sushi, join Chef Melissa in this immersive cooking class. Here, she will teach you how to prepare sushi, as well as some Japanese culinary history and knife skills.

Begin the class by preparing the ingredients for a number of different sushi dishes, including quirky egg cup sushi rolls. Then, assemble tofu, rice, and fresh carrots to form delicate dumpling-like rolls known as inarizushi. Finally, wield your knife like a professional to create clean slices of fish to create the perfect nigiri and maki sushi rolls.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Fun night in! The host Melissa was welcoming and engaging and made the experience a lot of fun. We enjoyed a variety of flavors and variety of ways to make sushi. We should have brought some to-go containers.. the host was gracious to offer some. Fun experience for friends, solo learners or couples.
