Cooking Class - Vegetarian Classics of Italy

Journey to Italy with a meatless menu of traditional dishes.

In this hands-on cooking class, Chef Sarah invites you to explore vegetarian dishes that feature the signature flavors of Italy. Learn traditional techniques of Italian cooking, while highlighting the bounty of the Mediterranean with fresh regional ingredients.

Begin class by recreating time-honored favorites, such as eggplant caponata served on fresh crostini and a zesty panzanella salad. Then, put a fresh spin on the beloved Margherita pizza. For dessert, load crunchy cannoli shells with creamy ricotta filling spiced with cinnamon and vanilla.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I’d give six stars for Sarah’s class if possible! She is really very didactic, organized, detailed, explains everything with clarity and useful knowledge (eg, tomato sauce from a special region in Italy, tips for caponata, amazing salad sauce, etc), and very empathetic. She demonstrated what to do and gave me plenty freedom to also prepare the meals with a hands-on approach, which was simply great for learning by doing. For sure I’ll prepare the recipes at home and I’m kneen to do so. She served the meals on a nice table, and she provided me with a box with such amazing leftovers. Everything was delicious! I was looking for a vegetarian cooking class and this was perfect. It would be great if Sarah could provide more great vegetarian options such as this one!

Sarah was great! She talked about the ingredients in detail, both from just a culinary enjoyment perspective and an ingredient perspective for using in your own cooking. All of the food was fabulous and she was a great host, making conversation and managing the cooking while incorporating us into the entire process. I would sign up for another one of her classes in a heartbeat.
