What You’ll Do

Get ready to learn how to prepare classic sushi rolls and more from scratch.

In this hands-on cooking class with Chef Chris, you will learn how to prepare a variety of flavorful rolls and appetizers using the freshest, highest-quality ingredients and traditional Japanese sushi-making techniques.

Chef Chris will begin by teaching you how to perfectly blister shishito peppers, served with a savory-sweet soy sauce blend. Then, craft fresh Vietnamese spring rolls filled with lo mein noodles, vibrant vegetables and fragrant mint. You’ll also learn to make a crab and pickled vegetable sushi roll, combining sweet crab with tangy pickled vegetables and seasoned sushi rice. Finally, perfect the unagi roll, featuring tender eel, creamy avocado, eel sauce and a touch of sliced jalapeño for a delightful balance of flavors.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class is suitable for ages 7+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

We loved Chef Chris' sushi making class! The knowledge and wisdom of his craft is on full display as he teaches the art! Chef Chris is such a wonderful and friendly instructor as he creates an environment that is personable and informative throughout the class, making it entertaining and relaxing, allowing us to enjoy it to the fullest! The food was fantastic, and the class was excellent, and it gave us an experience to remember! I look forward to using Chef Chris again!

An amazing experience all thanks to Chef Chris. He is professional, yet fun to learn from and work with. Chef Chris is also very clearly knowledgeable and accommodating - we had a group of 6 friends in our personal cooking class with varying experience levels with cooking. Ingredients were very fresh, and the recipes we made were very tasty and easy to follow. We will absolutely do this experience again and if possible, we would like to work with Chef Chris as well. Chris was professional, punctual, and considerate! We learned new techniques, got to ask any question we wanted, and he easily integrated into our family dynamics! He was especially kind to our 18-year-old son by getting him involved and teaching directly with him at times. On top of all that, the food we prepared was delicious! Some food items we would have never purchased at the store are now on our list to try again. He shared the recipes at the end of the night. Would definitely have him back again for more fun.

Chef Chris and his team were great. They showed up a little early to get set up and prepared. They were very kind to everyone but also focused on their craft. The food was amazing, everyone truly enjoyed the flavors and presentation. They cleaned up nicely and were out of there in no time at all. I would definitely recommend.

My husband and I celebrated 22 years as a couple with surf and turf steak and shrimp, tangerine pear and blue cheese salad, wonderful creamy potato soup, and biscuits cooked to perfection topped with strawberries and whipped cream. We had the best experience with Chef Chris. We hired him to cook brunch for my fiance's 30th birthday. He was on time, professional, and made great company during the time he was at our house. But the best part was the food!! Everything he made was delicious. The meal was even more enjoyable than what we could have gotten in a restaurant for the same money. We picked a meal that was actually too basic for our group. Chef was pleasant and friendly. Wasn't too fond of potato soup, lacked texture and seasoning. Liked using leak tops as garnish.

The “Stunning Seafood Spread” was fantastic! Chef Chris has a very nice “hands-on” approach to teaching — first demonstrating and then allowing us to take over. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. We would definitely take another class with Chef Chris!
