Explore the exciting, flavorful possibilities of a whole foods diet in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Charles as you discover simple ways to add more vegetables and nutritious ingredients into your meals.
First, you'll create vegetable flatbread featuring tomatoes, herbs and scallions, then prepare homemade pasta for a pappardelle dish with vegan sausage, shallots and mushrooms. A dessert of carrot cake bites made with fresh carrots and coconut and spiced with cinnamon will prove just how decadent and delicious a plant-based dessert can be!
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Charles is THE BEST! I wish I could give 10 stars. He is incredibly gracious and made the whole experience so fun and relaxing! Not to mention the food was amazing and we learned so much. Also the kitchen is beautiful and so organized. You can tell Chef Charles is passionate about cooking and teaching others to cook. We are very grateful for our time with Chef Charles!

Easy going guy and knows his stuff. Learned a lot of interesting things. It is unbelievable what you can do with 'whole foods'.
After earning a culinary degree from the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Charles went on to gain what has now accumulated into 20 years of professional culinary experience. For the past eight years, Chef Charles has donned the executive chef title in Washington D.C. He is also an adjunct professor of culinary arts at Montgomery College and volunteers for a nonprofit teaching culinary demonstrations for at-risk kids.
