Chef Fumiko will teach you how to veganize Japanese favorites.

Japanese cuisine relies heavily on fresh vegetables, fruit and rice, which makes it perfect for a vegan transformation. Sharpen your knife skills in this hands-on experience featuring plant-based fare from soup to dessert.

Learn how to make a classic miso soup with fried tofu and vegetables, followed by a daikon and carrot salad and vegan chirashi sushi made with carrots, green beans, shiitake mushrooms and pickled daikon radishes. For the entrée, you'll braise tofu and eggplant with teriyaki sauce, then focus your attention on dessert: almond milk gelée with grapes, oranges and peaches.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We had a fantastic time in the Vegan Japanese cooking class with Chef Fumiko. She created an awesome experience with simple yet decadent dishes that we would be able to replicate after going home. We also really enjoyed her friendly and laid-back demeanor, as it made the class much more enjoyable. We would recommend her class to anyone!
