Cooking Class - Chinese New Year With a Twist

Explore contemporary Chinese fare with an innovative twist with Chef Parsati.

Bring your favorite dinner partner to this hands-on class that will focus on a provocative culinary flavor fusion between Chinese and California cuisines.

Chef Parsati will begin the class teaching you new and exciting ways of creating cross-cultural fusion fare beginning with cauliflower infused with the flavors of ginger, garlic, sesame oil and soy sauce. Then, you'll prepare a chicken entrée loaded with fresh pineapple and a side of fried rice with fresh vegetables and shrimp. For the grand finale, craft then indulge in a pearl pudding with tapioca, dried fruit and saffron.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

My grandson and I loved our cooking experience with Chef Parsati. The food was delicious, both tasty and healthy. Chef Parsati taught us cooking techniques along with pointers about using a minimum of oil, substitutions for garlic, which spices and sauces to use to create the dishes. She was organized and welcoming. Thank you!
