Cooking Class - Mastering Knife Skills

Chef Ivan will teach you professional knife skills essential to the culinary arts.

Learn all the basic safety knife techniques to take your culinary skills to the next level during this extensive class. Chef Ivan will demonstrate knife techniques while you make three staples of Mediterranean cuisine.

Learn how to julienne, brunoise, mirepoix, batonette, filangere and more while preparing minestrone soup with pesto, white beans and vegetables, and salmon baked in parchment with a variety of vegetables. To round out the meal, prepare a fruit galette with strawberries, peaches and blueberries. This class is suitable for adults only.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Great class! It's a good balance of time spent doing each part of the meal prep and actually practicing some knife skills. Don't expect a bootcamp on knife cutting, but you get 15-25 or so minutes to practice, can ask for assistance, and get some quality advice/tips/tricks to take home and hone in your knife skills. If you have a good group, it's a great time. The instructor was super friendly/helpful and I'd definitely recommend the class.

Intimate and elevated home style experience. 13-10 would recommend for couples and small groups of 6 or less. We’ve been twice and Ivan has been thoughtfully attentive with each experience.
