Cooking Class - Dim Sum Techniques

Get together with friends and learn how to create the beautiful, intricate designs of dim sum.

Once a treat reserved for royalty and the wealthy, the intricately folded and decorated steamed buns known as dim sum are believed to have originated 2,500 years ago in northern China. Today, dim sum shops are all over China and other Asian countries.

In this class, Chef Jen will demonstrate different styles of both savory and sweet dumplings, beginning with a light shrimp shumai, then moving onto pan-fried potstickers with braised beef and pork belly. End by making delicious fruit-filled fried wontons with homemade salted caramel sauce.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Loved my class with Chef Jen!! Everything we made was so much fun and she was a great teacher, we especially loved how she made sure all the dishes were rich and decadent but still healthy. Can't wait for our next class, thanks Chef Jen!!
