In this hands-on class with Chef Shakti, you'll learn how to prepare a fresh, simple, and incredibly flavorful four-course vegan menu using Japanese flavors, ingredients, and cooking techniques that translate across all cuisines.
Some of the recipes you can look forward to adding to your culinary repertoire in this class include a refreshing Japanese cucumber salad, a savory, soul-warming miso soup from scratch that always hits the spot regardless of the season, perfectly nutty, chewy soba noodles dressed in soy sauce and lemon juice, and matcha chia pudding for dessert.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Shakti provided an exceptional experience: She taught my friends and I how to prepare a variety of delicious vegan Japanese dishes, sharing tips and tricks along the way about everything from knife handling to finding ingredients. Beyond her skills as a teacher and chef, she was a warm and attentive host, and it was a delight to share our meal with her. If you’re looking to add to your kitchen knowledge or simply want an excellent dining experience, I can’t recommend Chef Shakti enough.

It was a very nice experience. We maybe should have picked a more challenging class. Chef Shakti was very knowledgable and welcoming.

Chef Shakti was so friendly and welcoming to her cozy apartment. She was informative and made the experience fun and comfortable. I would highly recommend any of her classes. We did the New American Vegan and the food was delicious, and so simple to make! I can't wait to make it again for my friends.

Chef Shakti is an experienced chef who draws upon her upbringing to make the flavors in her dishes thoroughly authentic. Chef Shakti grew up in Russia where she learned how to cook at a young age, exploring flavorful spices and ingredients that are ever present in her cooking today. She understands the importance of customized cooking, and is always ready to meet individual needs. Chef Shakti is completely devoted to her art — the art of cooking!
