Cooking Class - Mexican Street Food Staples

Discover how to handcraft a variety of classic dishes from Mexico using fresh ingredients.

In this hands-on cooking class with Chef Chris, you will discover why street food is so deeply ingrained into Mexico's culinary culture as you learn how to prepare a traditional spread of Mexican cuisine staples.

Chef Chris will begin by showing you how to prepare fresh guacamole. Then, you will learn how to make the infamous street corn as well as corn tortillas, spicy salsa and your choice of steak or chicken. Lastly, end on a sweet note with a batch of traditional buñuelos sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Working with Chef Chris was a wonderful experience! His teaching skills and verbal instructions were clear and easy to follow. He made us feel comfortable when asking questions or asking for a repeat demonstration. Chef Chris explained his choice of kitchen tools and appliances and it’s use in our food prep. All foods used in our meal were pre-packaged, labeled and ready to use. Lastly, Chef Chris’ kitchen and working space was clean, uncluttered and well-organized. We’ve taken many food classes over the years and he is exceptional! We look forward to our next class with Chef Chris when we return to Las Vegas.

Chris was wonderful. He took extra time to teach me better knife skills when I mentioned my desire and accommodated my husband’s vegetarian needs in a meal that this carnivore enjoyed as well.
