Cooking Class - Healthy Greek Cuisine

Greek food is typical of the highly-regarded Mediterranean diet and wins on every level.

Greek fare is healthy, delicious and makes use of fresh ingredients. In this hands-on class with Chef Shailini, you will learn how to prepare a four-course menu of classic Greek dishes that utilize only the freshest and most wholesome ingredients.

Chef Shailini will begin by teaching you how to prepare a batch of traditional flaky and crispy oven-baked spinach and feta hand pies called spanakopita. For your entrée, you will learn how to build layers upon layers of flavor to create a hearty eggplant casserole topped with a luscious béchamel sauce lauded as the epitome of Greek comfort food.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

My sister and I attended a Greek cooking class. Chef Shailini is a talented chef and lovely woman. We enjoyed our class. We were lucky to only have 4 people in our class. Chef Shailini was born in Nepal, and with her father being a well-known diplomat, the family lived all over the world. A life long educator, Chef Shailini taught at both Boston University and Northeastern University earlier in her career, and while she enjoyed that a great deal, she is currently living her true passion at several well-known Boston institutions teaching people how to cook food that is both nutritious and delicious. Chef Shailini also does a great deal of volunteer work.
