Team Building Activity - Making Sushi From Scratch

Work together to become a team of maki sushi masters in this hands-on sushi workshop.

In this team building class, Chef Andy will be your guide as you and your team work together to learn how to roll your own sushi and make other Japanese favorites from scratch.

Chef Andy will focus on teaching your team how to roll maki sushi rolls, but he will also go into detail about preparing fresh fish ceviche with cilantro, sesame oil, citrus and jalapeños, and knife skills as well as the techniques to make matcha crêpes with fresh berries.

Guests are welcome to purchase wine and beer from the venue.

Chef Andy did a wonderful job as an instructor and his home kitchen and dining area were well designed for the class and tastefully decorated. He provided excellent information and demonstrations about knife skills, prep tips, food safety and cooking styles. His kitchen, the appliances, tools and utensils were spotless and in good shape. We plan to make the turmeric chicken and grilled veggies at home - didn't realize we can grill the veggies without oil using a non-stick pan; appreciated using a small amount of oil mixed into the raw chicken with the turmeric before grilling. I've been enjoying Greek yogurt with blueberries, strawberries, pistachios and honey at home - great as a breakfast item or a light dessert as Chef Andy suggested. Thanks to the chef for a fun time - we learned a lot and also enjoyed meeting the other two people who took part in the class.

Chef Andy lead our team building activity with 25 attendees and was a great leader on our pasta-making journey. Not only was the food delicious, but he gave us some wonderful tips and tricks on how to become better chefs with ease. He's a fun presence to guide a group, and I'm confident that we'll look to book with him again if we do this event another time.
