Team Building Activity - Hand-Rolled Sushi Competition

What You’ll Do

Take team building to the next level with this interactive sushi-rolling competition.

Bring your team together to learn new skills and engage in friendly competition in the office with this on-site sushi-rolling experience guided by Chef Vivian and Michi. You'll learn sushi rice-making tips and techniques for expertly slicing fresh fish, plus compete in a sushi-making challenge.

First, whip up honey and soy edamame before preparing traditional rice and slicing and dicing a range of ingredients, including salmon, tuna, mango, avocado and cucumber. Then, Chef Vivian and Michi will demonstrate how to properly roll sushi and split the team into groups to work together to compete for the best sushi based on flavor, design and ingenuity.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We had a great Sushi making class and Competition with Chef Vivian and Michi. Everyone had a lot of fun and the sushi was delicious.

We had the most wonderful anniversary night with Chef Vivian and Chef Michi. They welcomes us into their home and were so patient teaching us new techniques. They were attentive, personable, and have an obvious passion, not only for cooking, but sharing the love of cooking with others. We would 100% book another class with these two - we definitely got out of our comfort zone for this experience, but Chef Vivian and Chef Michi made it easy to do so!

Chef Vivian and Michi were incredible. They were able to accommodate the dietary restrictions we had and taught us how to prepare the best meal I've had in ages, (better that the exclusive restaurant the night before). I highly recommend the Peruvian experience.
