Omakase means “I’ll leave it up to you.” In this five-course private chef experience, you’ll dine omakase style as Chef Alejandro guides you through an upscale, Japanese-inspired vegetarian menu made with only the freshest seasonal vegetables and fruits. Enjoy a unique combination of flavors and textures in every bite as you delve into seaweed salad, vegetarian sushi, smoked mochi and more.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

What a WONDERFUL experience. Chef Alejandro is such a good and patient teacher, teaches not just technique but respect for the process of creating sushi. I just loved his class, and the resulting sushi. Besides the teaching and learning, he also made the experience fun and memorable for our group. Our friends who live here in Chicago will be recommending this experience to others. What a lovely and memorable and yummy experience. HIGHLY recommend.

Highly recommend! We really enjoyed the experience Chef Alejandro provided. It was more than I could have ever imagined it would be. The food was amazing, and Alejandro was on time, professional, personable, neat and tidy! I will absolutely be using his services again in the future.

Chef Alejandro is a sushi itamae bringing more than a decade of professional culinary experience to the table. Chef Alejandro first learned the Japanese art of sushi making in Venezuela. Fascinated by this multidisciplinary craft, he went on to study sushi making in three more countries before settling in the U.S. Today, Chef Alejandro can be found teaching sushi-making classes and hosting private events.
