Online Cooking Class - Mastering Sushi

Learn how to make sushi from scratch in Chef Vivian and Michi's virtual cooking class.

In this interactive online cooking class, Chef Vivian and Michi will teach you how to make both traditional Japanese sushi as well as a unique Peruvian variation. Start by preparing a tuna sashimi and tuna tartare. Then, expertly slice nigiri four ways, and craft the perfect tuna roll.

Kit includes: Sushi rice, nori, rice vinegar powder, sesame seeds, wasabi powder, rolling mat, cooking instructions, shopping guide, and drink pairing suggestions. Servings: Makes 8 rolls with 6 pieces each. Prep Work Details

Please have sushi rice cooked and marinated prior to class. Bamboo mats should be covered in clear wrap twice. Fish should be thawed the day of the class. If you purchased a sushi kit, please follow the sushi kit instructions.

i loved the class very much. they were terrific and i learned so much that i will take with me and keep using. the only recommendation is the shopping list. it called for 7 cups of rice which was over triple what was needed and the fish amounts were a bit vague and therefore triple was purchased. the fish will ber used but it was too much for the recipes. overall it was a fantastic experience

Really enjoyed it. Highly recommend. Just need to tweak the shopping list to make more clear what is needed. A photo of the meat on a plate as shown at the beginning of class would have been a big help.
