Lauren did a fantastic job! She paced the food (sizes as well) and the walking from location to location. Along the way learned interesting facts and great history of Oak Cliff. We would definitely recommend!

Short answer: Wouldn't recommend this to a friend in Dallas and would have been very let down if this was something we booked while visiting a different city.
Full detail: I hate saying this but hopefully it's helpful for others booking. Our guide was really nice, but the food tour itself was disappointing. We have done a decent number of food tours for similar prices and this was by far the weakest.
Note: Seeing this page and as I am writing the review, I am wondering if we had a fill in guide and if that actually negatively impacted the tour. Our guide was not the person pictured on this page. He was really nice, easy going, and knew the script well. In hindsight though, maybe some of the things that seemed off with the tour were because it wasn’t the normal person.
Food: 4 stops - our guide said there is a 5th (like it said in their email) but you only go if you are on the morning tour. Without spoiling here is the rundown. First stop was great, good food, history, with a substantial serving for a multi stop tour. All 4 in our group left food on the plate because we worried about being full – this was a mistake. Second stop was a good pop in for more of a small snack. Then there was a huge gap (maybe half the time of the food tour) of just walking. We walked to a cool neighborhood with tons of restaurants and bars but didn't stop for any food or drinks there before going back to the original street. Our guide said the morning tours would stop at an addition place on getting back to the main street but it closed at 4 so we didn’t go. It’s a bummer because there was no mention of this when booking a time, and our tour could have gone before it closed if we had just went before the walk to the other neighborhood (and I now see other reviews saying it was the best stop). The third stop the flavor was awesome, but it was just a tiny like 1 biter sized app version of the actual food, which was a bummer. We were hungry at this point expecting it to be a food focused tour and having held back on the first stop because their serving was large. This was exaggerated when the they brought out food for the guide and it was 6x the size of ours (like an actual order). This stop was also the only stop with a drink beyond water, which was another bummer because our guide mentioned there would be a drink at each stop. It ended at the shop next door for a desert bite. There was some fun stuff here but a lot that just seemed a bit off. It was probably about $15 worth of food over the 4 items. It would be a simple and smart heads up so say that bulk of the food was at the first stop. Rough to just always skip one stop with no replacement because of the tour time. And why say you are getting a special drink at each stop if there isn’t?
Tour: Started very strong with a good speed round of Dallas history and moves into the neighborhood history. Then it turns into just kind of walking around from place to place for most of the time with the occasional call out. This was the bulk of the tour. It was made less enjoyable because you spend most of your time in direct sun (and time of year dependent, but for us the heat and humidity) while walking through an area that was in its "golden era during the 40s" as stated by the tour. It was a bit over two hours vs. the 4 hours that were stated, but that wasn't an issue as we were happy to be heading out by the end.

This experience was such fun! Lauren was absolutely adorable, plus super fun and knowledgeable! She introduced us to some wonderful hidden gems that we would have otherwise never located and tried on our own, despite being Dallas suburbanite locals. The tour consists of very minimal walking despite venturing to several unique locations. All of which were super neat and tasty! The area overall was very cool and full of history and nostalgia. I am so glad we got out of our box and booked the Incloodie tour.
