What You’ll Do

Discover the culinary secrets that lie at the heart of a cherished San Francisco neighborhood.

This San Francisco food tour uncovers the Mission District through the flavors that define its everyday life and evolving identity. Shaped by waves of immigration and now known as the city’s Latino cultural heart, the Mission blends bold street art, historic architecture and deeply rooted food traditions.

The walk begins with an artisan focaccia square from a beloved neighborhood bakery, followed by a Mission-style baby burrito packed with classic local flavor. A Filipino-Mexican tocino taco highlights the district’s creative fusion before a stop for traditional Mexican sweet bread from a long-standing bakery. The experience wraps up with the Signature Secret Dish, revealed only on the day. Along the way, colorful murals and local stories connect each bite to the people who shaped the Mission’s culinary voice. Book now to taste one of San Francisco’s most expressive neighborhoods.

Mark was phenomenal! Professional, relaxed, and he created a fun authentically SF experience. This was my 5th food tour in SF and definitely my favorite. My guest with me has lived in the Mission for decades and said with all the neat insights that Mark shared through the tour she was leaving feeling so much more San Franciscan! A treasure of an experience!
