What You'll Do

Celebrate the season with festive breakfast favorites in this family cooking class in White Plains.

Gather the family for a festive morning menu in this hands-on cooking class in White Plains (Westchester). You’ll shape individual cinnamon roll wreaths, bake a brown sugar apple Dutch baby and assemble jingle jars filled with homemade hot chocolate mix. You’ll even make marshmallows from scratch to complete the cozy spread. Chef Amalia or a resident chef will guide everyone through baking, shaping and mixing techniques suited to a fun family kitchen session. This family cooking class in White Plains (Westchester) is a cheerful way to create holiday treats and new traditions together.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

This class is suitable for ages 7+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

We made 3 different types of sushi rolls and matcha ice cream. Our chef Amalia was amazing! So patient, kind, knowledgeable, informative and pleasant! The facilities staff was great but it was extremely cold in the kitchen and would’ve been nicer to have seating for mealtime instead of standing.

Chef Amalia was absolutely amazing! I can't say enough about her. She was not only incredibly patient but also took the time to walk us through each step of the cooking class with such warmth and clarity. It felt like cooking with a close friend who just happens to be an expert chef! Her guidance made the entire experience so enjoyable and engaging. What truly stood out were her fantastic suggestions for substituting ingredients, making it easy for us to recreate the delicious meal at home. We have since made chicken dumplings using the techniques we learned during the class. And let's talk about that lemon-flavored caramel – it was a revelation! Learning how to make it was definitely a highlight of the class for me. I'm already looking forward to signing up for another class with Chef Amalia. Her expertise, passion, and delightful personality truly make her classes a must-do experience!

Really fun and busy class making pad Thai, deep fried lemongrass corn fritters, shrimp curry, and enjoying coconut rice afterwards, in a group of 12. It was nice to review knife skills as well. Great date or special occasion activity

Overall very informative. Adult only class would be a nice option.. Chef had amazing experience, very informative and knowledgeable. Should have a 5 min late policy. Late guests distracting. Would have liked a little quicker pace. Overall Very great seat up. Definitely an experience.

Overall, the class was really fun! In a way I wish it was a tiny bit more challenging. It felt like we did a few knife cuts, then took a break and then cooked a bit before eating. All in all, I wish it had been a bit more difficult or ""fast"" pace wise. The food we made was really good, except for the pad thai which was disappointing. Also would be super nice to make a dessert!

The class was easy to follow, and I feel the recipes will be easy to replicate at home. This class should be 3 hrs long, not 2. The dough didn't have enough time to rise and didn't have enough time to bake. My focaccia bread wound up burning because the instructor was moving on with the class and the bread didn't get out of the oven fast enough.
