What You'll Do

Turn simple dough into fresh pasta in this interactive cooking class in Newport Beach.

Fresh pasta is the focus of this engaging cooking class in Newport Beach, where Chef Angel or a resident chef will show you how to take dough from the mixing bowl to the plate. You’ll shape pumpkin agnolotti served with brown butter and sage and make rigatoni paired with spicy sausage, broccoli rabe and oregano. A citrus and chicory salad rounds out the menu. Along the way, you’ll practice kneading, rolling, filling and shaping pasta. This cooking class in Newport Beach is ideal for anyone ready to build confidence with homemade Italian favorites.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

We made stuffed pork tenderloin and it was great! Chef Charlie was accommodating and very entertaining. Highly suggest taking her class!

Chef Quincy did a good job. Especially since he had to pivot regarding the pre-made dumpling wrappers were not available. It felt a bit rushed or unorganized at times, but overall the food came out well. My partner and I both forgot to grab the recipe packets at the end, but I know we can find similar recipes online. I would attend another class.

This was a great class, but we paid more than expected for what felt like a standard class. We were looking for a unique experience, and while we thoroughly enjoyed the class and the food, we were a bit disappointed because we had hoped for something different. We ended up having Chef Casey instruct us for the class, and he was great! There was only 3 of us, so it was very intimate and made for a great, relaxing experience. We learned a few tricks to prepare the food we made, and we even got to take home leftovers from our cooking that night. Was very professional, easy-to-follow, and informative; and we made a delicious meal! My husband and I both went and he has been talking about taking more classes ever since we took this class. Highly recommend, and would love to go back for another class!

Here’s your review translated and polished in English: --- We barely cooked anything ourselves – everything was either fully prepared in advance or done for us. Even the items that weren’t included in the original plan were still prepped by the staff. While I understand that the experience was designed for kids, I came with an older child and specifically asked for some adjustments, but was refused. We definitely enjoyed ourselves as a family, laughed a lot, and had fun together. But there’s no doubt that we could – and should – have been more involved in the cooking experience. It’s a shame. We didn’t even get to arrange the spices ourselves. Honestly, putting cheese on pizza shouldn’t cost this much. All in all, we had a nice time as a family, but I was expecting much more from this experience.
