Unlock the secrets of Persian home cooking in this engaging cooking class in Kirkland (Seattle). With Chef Peter or a resident chef showing you the way, you'll grill up saffron chicken kabobs, toss together a minty cucumber and tomato salad and master the art of crispy, golden tahdig (the best part of the rice, hands down). To finish, you'll pipe cream puffs filled with fragrant pistachio cream. Along the way, you'll get real hands-on practice with marinades, rice technique and pastry filling. Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

Chef Peter's culinary journey may have begun in Northern California, but it's taken him around the U.S., with stops in D.C. and Nantucket. He honed his talent in well-regarded eateries, eventually rising to the level of executive chef. His restaurant experience includes a stint at the Watergate Hotel. Now happily settled in Seattle, Chef Peter is often found sharing his skills in cooking classes and with local and national nonprofits.

Chef Paul was great, detail oriented and answered my questions that had nothing to do with donuts. My nephew and I had a wonderful time. I love the open, bright kitchen and will be back to attend other classes for sure.

Chocolate tarts, chocolate truffles and double chocolate brownies. Chef was fantastic. It was a very enjoyable and informative learning experience. I will definitely look into future classes.
