What You’ll Do

Create a bento box meal that’s perfect for a family activity in this hands-on cooking class.

Build a complete bento-style lunch in this interactive cooking class in Kirkland (Seattle). With guidance from Chef Peter or a resident chef, you’ll grill chicken yakitori, form sticky rice shapes, prepare steamed edamame and assemble fruit and cream sandos. This cooking class in Kirkland (Seattle) focuses on simple techniques, teamwork and creativity, making it ideal for kids, teens and parents.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

Chef Peter's culinary journey may have begun in Northern California, but it's taken him around the U.S., with stops in D.C. and Nantucket. He honed his talent in well-regarded eateries, eventually rising to the level of executive chef. His restaurant experience includes a stint at the Watergate Hotel. Now happily settled in Seattle, Chef Peter is often found sharing his skills in cooking classes and with local and national nonprofits.

Chocolate tarts, chocolate truffles and double chocolate brownies. Chef was fantastic. It was a very enjoyable and informative learning experience. I will definitely look into future classes.

The Thai dinner. Learned to crush lemon grass when using it. Learned that I am working "too hard" when I'm chopping veggies. Enjoyable experience!
