What You’ll Do

Bring your partner along for a night of rolling your own sushi.

Sushi is the perfect date night and this romantic cooking class makes it even better. You’ll learn to create shrimp tempura rolls, spicy tuna rolls and avocado veggie hand rolls, all with restaurant-quality technique. Mastering sushi rice - the heart of every roll - is key, and you’ll also prepare a zesty yuzu dipping sauce to complete the experience. Enjoy a fun, interactive evening, just make sure to book in advance, full of delicious flavors and shared culinary skills.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

Chef Peter's culinary journey may have begun in Northern California, but it's taken him around the U.S., with stops in D.C. and Nantucket. He honed his talent in well-regarded eateries, eventually rising to the level of executive chef. His restaurant experience includes a stint at the Watergate Hotel. Now happily settled in Seattle, Chef Peter is often found sharing his skills in cooking classes and with local and national nonprofits.

Chocolate tarts, chocolate truffles and double chocolate brownies. Chef was fantastic. It was a very enjoyable and informative learning experience. I will definitely look into future classes.

The Thai dinner. Learned to crush lemon grass when using it. Learned that I am working "too hard" when I'm chopping veggies. Enjoyable experience!
