Share your love of Italian cuisine by learning traditional techniques you can recreate at home.

This cooking class explores the culinary skills of Italy's flavor-filled landscape. You'll join a gourmet chef who will share tips for preparing several authentic recipes.

Start with seafood risotto with scallops, shrimp, peas, Parmesan cheese and basil. Next, learn how to braise a pork shoulder in a hearty ragù and prepare brown butter pasta with sage. Dessert is a creamy vanilla bean panna cotta.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We had a fabulous night at Chef Washington’s home! We learned how to make seafood risotto, brown butter pasta with a short rib rue, and the most delicious pancetta. He was a great conversationalist throughout the learning process & Jane, his partner was equally as amazing/fun! We planned this date night to step out of our comfort zones but Chef Washington made us comfortable in his own home, taught us new skills, and let us take our leftovers home. Recommend to anyone seeking a new skill or activity near Seattle!

Chef Washington holds a wonderful space for cooking, with his special blend of passion and knowledge in food, education, history/cultures, and business. Not only the cooking experienced and food were amazing, we also enjoyed the intellectual conversations with Chef Washington and how down to earth he is as a human. A great experienced together!
