Hands-on baking fun inspires creativity, confidence and essential kitchen skills for young chefs.

Ignite creativity with a cooking class tailored for kids aged 7–11 this winter. Young chefs will dive into hands-on baking fun, from mixing batter and kneading bread dough to decorating cookies with flair. Each session introduces essential baking techniques, basic food prep skills, and key tips for kitchen safety. Designed to boost confidence and spark imagination, these interactive lessons transform learning into an adventure. At the end of the series, every participant takes home a printed menu and a graduation certificate as proud reminders of their accomplishments.

Meet your chef


Chef Peter's culinary journey may have begun in Northern California, but it's taken him around the U.S., with stops in D.C. and Nantucket. He honed his talent in well-regarded eateries, eventually rising to the level of executive chef. His restaurant experience includes a stint at the Watergate Hotel. Now happily settled in Seattle, Chef Peter is often found sharing his skills in cooking classes and with local and national nonprofits.

Chocolate tarts, chocolate truffles and double chocolate brownies. Chef was fantastic. It was a very enjoyable and informative learning experience. I will definitely look into future classes.

The Thai dinner. Learned to crush lemon grass when using it. Learned that I am working "too hard" when I'm chopping veggies. Enjoyable experience!
