I was lucky enough to attend two classes recently, both taught by Kate. First, we went with some friends to a sushi making class. Then last week I went with a different friend to learn to make stuffed pasta. I thoroughly enjoyed both experiences and feel like I learned a lot and will be able to put those things into practice. I've already used one of the recipes I came home with for a winter squash salad that's delicious.

Chef Kate was excellent! She did a great job instructing and setting expectations, but kept it enjoyable. We had a very positive experience and would recommend this to anyone who's interested and eager to learn.

The experience was marketed as 'romantic Italian evening', and while the cooking experience was okay, the experience wasn't very romantic. Our chef was fine- she was obviously knowledgeable, and taught us skills and tricks we didn't know before- but she was a bit brash and had a personality that we weren't expecting for our evening. It definitely wasn't 'romantic', and looking back if we wanted something more intimate we should have gone with a private chef, or a different location. There was another couple for our class, which we weren't expecting. They were lovely, and good cooking mates, but I expected to have the experience just for us, so having another couple there was surprising. The food was okay- our salad was delicious and we will make again. The scampi was just okay- but it was nice to make the pasta from scratch and see how easy it really is to do. The desert was simply a fancy-named apple pie. Overall everything we just fine. We'll probably try again, but we're not racing out to book another experience.
