Cooking Class - 3-Day Foodie Fun Teens: Global Bakeshop - Oklahoma City

What You’ll Do

Tasty confectionaries from around the globe right at your fingertips.

This cooking series offers a fun activity for your teenager this summer designed for ages 12 and up. In this 3-day program, your child can learn hands-on cooking skills from an experienced chef instructor. They will explore a variety of cuisines and menus while also learning advanced baking and cooking techniques, food prep skills and kitchen safety. A mystery challenge that requires them to create a tasty meal using only the ingredients provided to them. Everyone receives a printed menu, a graduation certificate and memories that will last a lifetime.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

Great experience with Chef Katy. Learned so much that I’m excited to take into my own bread making experience.

Great job controlling everything, but, baked potatoes were cold and the butter didn’t melt. We cooked the shrimp first and it sat until the end of the class. We thought the shrimp cocktail was going to be an appetizer. Over all it was a fun experience! I hope we get the recipes soon.
