Indulge in a culinary journey designed for children aged 7-11 with this exciting summer cooking series. Over five days, young chefs will delve into the basics of baking, combining education and enjoyment in the culinary realm. Each day of these summer cooking classes promises a fresh culinary exploration, highlighting both sweet and savory delights while imparting crucial cooking techniques, food preparation and kitchen safety guidelines. The week concludes with an exhilarating challenge for participants and receiving a personalized menu and graduation certificate to proudly display their achievements.
Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

Chef Amalia was absolutely amazing! I can't say enough about her. She was not only incredibly patient but also took the time to walk us through each step of the cooking class with such warmth and clarity. It felt like cooking with a close friend who just happens to be an expert chef! Her guidance made the entire experience so enjoyable and engaging. What truly stood out were her fantastic suggestions for substituting ingredients, making it easy for us to recreate the delicious meal at home. We have since made chicken dumplings using the techniques we learned during the class. And let's talk about that lemon-flavored caramel – it was a revelation! Learning how to make it was definitely a highlight of the class for me. I'm already looking forward to signing up for another class with Chef Amalia. Her expertise, passion, and delightful personality truly make her classes a must-do experience!

The rice was undercooked. Several groups agreed. A date night event for 2 was not intimate since the set-up was for 4 people. There should have been individual (per group) cups for soy and wasabi. Chef, coffee station, and location were excellent.

She is able to make complicated tasks appear simple by breaking them down into their most essential components and encouraging the students to practice and then master each skill.
